Our Story

Raising the bar for Zimbabwe's profession.

The Zimbabwe Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers (ZIAA) was established as the country's dedicated professional body for auctioneers and appraisers — modelled after peer institutions including the South African Institute of Auctioneers and the Certified Institute of Auctioneers in Nigeria. ZIAA provides accreditation, training, and networking opportunities to professionals and businesses.

Through a structured certification framework, a mandatory code of ethics, and an active events calendar, we build a profession that buyers, sellers, and the public can trust. We work in close alignment with Zimbabwean auction, appraisal, and consumer protection laws to ensure our members operate with full legal compliance and the highest ethical standards.
